Rose Belisle Obituary

Milford:

Rose (Eghian) Belisle, 89, of Milford, Massachusetts, briefly went home Sunday, November 28th only to return to her family with one last lesson, "All my friends are there, they said "not yet". When asked what is like she gave us this: "It's beautiful", shortly thereafter she peacefully passed surrounded by her family at home.

She was born to George and Lucia (Kazangian) Eghian on December 31,1931and survived by her cherished sister Victoria Peroni of Milford, MA. Rosie had a strength that was unparalleled and the gift of tenacity, she was determined to raise her family with strength, kindness, creativity and virtue. She was one of the few mothers at the time raising her family alone during the  turbulent 70's. She taught her daughter's the value of family, conservation of natural resources and independence.

Rosie was a proud lifelong resident of Milford, graduating from MHS in 1949 with an award for best dancer . She spent her working yers with Draper Corporation and General Electric until her retirement.

Rosie was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Milford and the Armenian American Veterans Auxiliary of Milford. She loved traveling the world including Italy, Mexico, Australia, Canada, USVI and the USA. You could always find Rosie on the dance floor'; she frequented the Frohsinn Club, PNE, Cocke'N Kettle or any place with a band and a dance floor. She enjoyed all music and live performances, especially the annual Armenian Picnic in Whitinsville, attending almost every Milford band concert and many live performances especially the performances from Broadway shows in NYC to the Off-Broadway performances at the Whitinsville Alternative Theatre. She enjoyed her days at the senior center and Gold's Gym, always making sure she kept busy and fit. Rosie loved filling her days playing all kinds of games like cards, Scrabble, Cribbage and Mahjong with her friends and family, always willing to teach someone how to play, She made her final Mahjong November 26 in the company of her Friday night players. Rosie made friends wherever she went, life wasn't fun if she wasn't joking and talking with everyone around her. She brightened everyone's day and cared about each of us.

Rosie was the devoted mother of four daughters, Pauline Belisle of Newton,NH, Annette Palmer and her husband Bruce of Whitinsville, MA, Lucille Gattoni and her husband Joseph of Milford, MA, and Charlene Langlois and her husband Michael of Worcester, MA. Loving grandmother  of Meredith Wilkes, Bianca Roffo and her husband Paolo, Gregory Palmer, Trevor Gattoni and the love of his life Katie Miller and Megan Palmer.
