Hopedale:
Ronald H. Hoffman, 80, of Hopedale died on January 17 at the Blackstone Nursing Home in Blackstone. He was the husband of the late Barbara (Dicks) Hoffman who died in 2012.
He was born in Canajoharie, New York; son of the late Walter and Dorothy (Gardiner) Hoffman. He was raised & educated there. After he and his wife were married they moved to Framingham in 1957. In 1967, they moved to Hopedale and had been residents there since then.
Mr. Hoffman had been employed as a purchasing agent for Lundquist Tool & Die in Worcester before his retirement. He had also been employed by Data General, Raytheon and Honeywell Corporation.
In 1978, Mr . Hoffman founded and was the pastor of the former Tree of Life Ministry in Marlborough, MA.
Ronald was an avid salt water fisherman and loved his trips to Ocean Park in Maine and Boston.
He is survived by a son Craig S. Hoffman of Webster, New York, two daughters, Terry Zagame and Laurie Hoffman, both of Milford, a brother, Walter Hoffman of Hopedale, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was also the brother of the late Karen Romani.
