Martha Aldie Obituary

Marti "Tootsie" Aldie, 74, of Hopedale died peacefully on October 17 at Milford Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.

She was born in Utica, New York; daughter of the late William and Martha (Whiltsie) Cook. she was raised and educated in New York and attended stewardess school and had been employed by Allegheny and Mohawk airlines. Later on she attended school to become a Phlebotomist and medical assistant. Before her retirement, she had also worked for Burger King.

Marti is survived by her loving son, Jared W. Aldie and his wife Julie of Hopedale, two brothers, William Cook Jr. and Robert Cook, two sisters, Melinda Cassavaugh and Sharon Cellamare. She was predeceased by a brother Gary Cook and a sister Donna Cook.

Marti  was an avid doll collector and maker and was known to be a great seamstress. She enjoyed sports and loved to watch movies.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, October 23rd at 11:am in the Watson Colonial Funeral Home, 24 Congress St. Milford. Burial will follow in Hopedale Village Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 22nd from 5 to 7:pm.

In lieu of flowers and in honor of Marti being a prior cancer survivor, donations may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 20 Prospect St. Milford, MA. 01757.
