James C. Bond, 88, of Bellingham, died on August 5th. He was the husband of Florence E. (Dufresne) Bond.
He was born in Plattsburgh, New York; son of the late James & Dorothy (Hoag) Bond. He was raised & educated in Plattsburgh and was a standout athlete in football and track, earning a letter in each sport. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of 14 years serving in the Korean War.
Following his Air Force service, he served as a civillian employee at the Air Force Commissary in Plattsburgh. He then became the parts manager for Broderick GMC Trucks in Plattsburgh from which he retired in 1991.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Kenneth Bond of Milford and Thomas Bond of Honeoye, New York, and a grandson Matthew Bond.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
