Earl Francis Lanagan Jr.

Earl F. Lanagan Jr, 88, of Mendon died on September 9th at his residence. He was the husband of Dorothy (Closson) Lanagan.

In addition to his wife he is survived by three sons, Earl F. Lanagan III (Cheryl) of Uxbridge, Michael Lanagan of Linwood and David Lanagan (Ann) of Mendon, a daughter, Jean Marie Henderson of Old Orchard Beach, Maine, a sister Shirley Parker, eleven grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren and twelve great great grandchildren.

Earl was born in Milford; son of the late Earl and Florence (Thornhill) Lanagan. He was raised in Franklin and was a graduate of Franklin High School. Earl served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. 

Earl had been employed as a carpenter for the former Jessie F. White Co. of Mendon and then became a self employed carpenter after that. He retired in 1995.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 17th at 11:am in the Salvation Army Citadel, 29 Congress St. Milford. there are no calling hours. Burial of cremains will be private at the convenience of the family.
