Rose M (Furcinitti) Diomedes

Rose M. (Furcinitti) Diomedes, 98, of Milford died on December 31 at Beaumont Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center in Northbridge. She was the wife of the late Daniel M. Diomedes who died in 2000. At the time of his death they had been married for fifty years.

She was born in Milford; daughter of the late Joseph &  Sarah (Battaglia) Furcinitti. she was raised & educated in Milford and was a graduate of Milford High School, class of 1936. Prior to her retirement she has been a trimmer at a hat shop in Framingham. she was a member of the Sisters of Italy and Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Milford. She loved baking for her family and sewing and gardening.

Rose is survived by three daughters, Joanne Cormier and her husband John of Woonsocket,RI, Linda Daudelin and her husband Richard of Milford  and Debra Womersley and her husband Paul of Billerica, six grandchildren, Wendy and Jeffrey Cormier, Christine Daudelin Crocker, Sean Daudelin, Christopher and Brian Womersley, six great grandchildren, Jackson Cormier, Alyssa and Jason Crocker, Camden, Bryce and Madison Womersley, a sister Adeline Furcinitti, nieces & nephews.

Rose was predeceased by a sister, Mary Pighetti and two brothers Leo and Philip Furcinitti.

Her funeral will be held on Friday, January 5 at 11:am in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main St. Milford. burial will follow in the parish cemetery. A visiting period will be held on Friday prior to the mass from 8 to 10:30 am in the Watson Colonial Funeral Home, 24 Congress St. Milford.
