Josephine O. (Perna) Brown, 96, of Hopedale died on December 28 at Milford Regional Medical Center. she was the wife of the late William E. Brown who died in 1998.

She was born in Milford; daughter of the late Anthony & Rose (Tosches) Perna. She was a 1938 graduate of Milford High School. Prior to her retirement Josephine had been employed by Mass Electric Co. in Hopedale and also had worked at Sears & Roebuck Co. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Hopedale.

Mrs. Brown is survived by three sons, Peter Brown of East Kingston, New Hampshire, Paul Brown of West Brookfield and William E. Brown Jr. of Henderson, Nevada, a brother Joseph Perna of South Yarmouth, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 11:30 am in the Watson Colonial Funeral Home, 24 Congress St. Milford. Burial will follow in Hopedale Village Cemetery. A visitation period will be held on Saturday prior to the funeral from 10:30 to 11:30 am in the funeral home.
