Garth Havelock Gaetz, 83, of Milford died March 10 at Medway Country Manor. He was the husband of the late June R. (LaFluer) Gaetz.
He was born in Needham; son of the late Isaac & Evelyn (Mitchell) Gaetz. He was raised in Wellesley and had been a resident of Milford for many years.
Garth was a self employed carpenter and had also worked at the former Draper Corporation in Hopedale from which he retired in 1979. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War He was a member of the Nipmuc Rod & Gun Club and was an avid fan of Milford american Legion Baseball.
Garth is survived by a son, Garth L. Gaetz of Millville, five daughters, Brenda Snay and Sandra Bertulli both of Whitinsville, Linda Bell of Florida, Debrah Horbuckle of Brimfield and June Mandosa of Blackstone, a sister Ruth Ham, 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother LLoyd Gaetz and a sister Myrna Ewing.
Funeral services are private. Burial will be in the V.A. National Cemetery in Bourne.
